Living in a Cereal World
...and I'm a cereal girl. I think Fridays I get lazy because I forgot to do the daily blog on Friday. Anyways, here is today's entry:
Q: Write about your favorite cereal.
A: My favorite cereal is Corn Chex. Wow, I know it sounds boring, but I love Corn Chex. They don't really get soggy as fast as the flake cereals, they have a nice crunch, and nice corn taste. Mmmm. Now, Rice Chex, for some reason doesn't really do it for me, I feel as if Rice Chex gets soggier faster than Corn Chex. Anyway, I think part of the reason why Corn Chex is my favorite cereal is because growing up I was never really allowed to have the sugary cereals like Trix or Captain Crunch. I ended up liking Captain Crunch in college, but it made my mouth all raw after eating only 5 bowls :). I also detest any cereal that turns the milk another color. If I wanted chocolate milk, I'd get some hershey's syrup or nestle quik and dump it in there. Anyways, I think I'm just a big fan of corn cereal in general because I also enjoy Corn Flakes (wow, I really am boring), but they get soggier faster so only if I'm prepared to eat quickly do I indulge in Corn Flakes.
The nastiest cereal: Mueslix. (or maybe Kashi, no Mueslix).

Well I've had different favorite cereals thoughout my life. Some of my favorites have included honey nut cheerios, apple cinnamon cheerios, frosted mini-wheats, lucky charms, cinnamon toast crunch, and frosted flakes. I liked all of them a lot at one point and ate them until I was sick of them and then moved onto another cereal. My current favorites would have to be frosted mini-wheats (gotta have lots of frosting) and apple cinnamon cheerios (or the generic equivalent of).

corn chex rock! also good: Kix (the commercial says "kix are for kids") but they are basically the equivalent of corn chex in ball form. not too sweet. which I personally go for. if i want sweet, I go for a dessert, not a cereal. just my too cents.

I like Crispix, because you get a corn side and a rice side. My rice sides have never gotten soggy. It could have to do with the size of the bowl you use or how slowly you eat.
